Shipping and Handling Policy

Swing Set Paradise is proud to offer FREE SHIPPING on all residential swingsets. Free Shipping & Handling orders are for the contiguous 48 states only and may be further limited within the item description. A shipping surcharge will apply to orders that ship to Hawaii, Alaska, and some remote areas of the country.

All orders are shipped via UPS Ground or freight 3-7 business days depending on product ordered and time of season. Customers will receive tracking numbers for their orders upon shipment of order.

Custom Swing Set Tarps (15 oz. vinyl and Sunbrella Awning Grade Custom Tarps) are charged an additional $20 shipping fee regardless of price due to the custom nature of the order. The tarps are made and shipped in Canada and may take anywhere from 3-5 days to ship.

Swing Set Paradise works closely with its vendors to assure timely shipment of your order, but various factors can impact the carrier's ability to deliver within the expected time frame. These factors include your location in relation to the warehouse, the carrier, holidays, weather and other unforeseen events that may delay shipping time.

Ground Shipments

It is your responsibility to examine the contents of the package shipments you receive for any damage or missing items immediately upon receipt. Any transit caused damage to your shipment must be reported within 3 days of delivery. Any shortage in your shipment must be reported to us within 30 days of delivery.

Common Carrier Shipments

All shipments of larger items that are delivered via carrier freight are to a commercial shipping dock, residential curbside, or shipping terminal only. We will not be responsible for inaccurate or undeliverable addresses. The freight company will contact you directly to schedule a delivery appointment using the phone numbers provided with your order. For commercial or residential deliveries, the customer is responsible for unloading the merchandise from the truck and should make arrangements to have some help as needed at the time of order delivery. Keep in mind your shipping address must be able to accommodate the 48' truck. These types of deliveries require a delivery appointment to assist with the unloading of goods, along with inspecting and signing for the delivery. When the shipment arrives near your location, you will be contacted by the carrier to arrange a delivery appointment. While the carrier may allow some flexibility in appointment times, lengthy delays in appointments may result in storage fees. Neither Swing Set Paradise, nor its suppliers, are responsible for such fees. To avoid storage fees on shipping terminal deliveries, the customer is responsible for shipment pick-up within 72 hours following delivery.

It is very important that you thoroughly inspect the delivery and document any damage that you see on the bill of lading/delivery receipt that you sign. Failure to document such findings may result in delays or even the inability to resolve such claims. Once reported in this manner, shortages and damaged items are the sole responsibility of the carrier. If the goods are damaged beyond your wish to accept them, the shipment should be refused at the time of delivery. If you accept delivery and later find damage, you are fully responsible for filing a claim with the shipping company. If not reported at time of delivery on the delivery receipt, an approved claim of shipping damage or shortage is very unlikely.

All requests for shipping charge reimbursement due to missed appointments by freight companies or concealed damage due to freight negligence must be directed to the individual freight company - not through SwingSetParadise.com.

Refusal of Delivery

If an order is refused, the customer will be responsible for the return shipping costs and any other costs that occur during the delivery process.

Delivery Times

Delivery times can vary for each product based on the delivery location and the size of the product. Due to the size of some products, ground shipping may be the only shipping method available.

Items are shipped directly from the warehouse to you by freight line. Shipments should reach the terminal nearest to you within one to two weeks of being shipped (this time frame varies depending on location) but please keep in mind that trucking companies do have delays caused by bad weather especially during the winter months. Once the shipment reaches the terminal, the shipping company will call you to set up a delivery appointment. We recommend calling the company directly with your tracking number if you have not heard from them close to your delivery date. They deliver during the business week (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays) and require a four-hour shipping window for the appointment.

Shipping Delays

SwingSetParadise.com is committed to fulfilling orders in a timely manner. However, from time to time, there may be manufacturer delays beyond our control. Since some items ship directly from our suppliers, delays in sending your tracking confirmation may occur, even though the order has shipped.

In very rare cases, an item may go out of stock after your order has been placed. If this should happen, we will contact you via e-mail to notify you of the situation. Product substitutes will be offered, whenever possible. If we are unable to fulfill the order, you will be promptly refunded.

Regardless of the delay, please be assured that we are working diligently to complete your shipment.

Incorrect Shipping Information

If a package is returned due to an incorrect shipping address provided by a customer, the customer will be responsible for the return shipping cost as well as the re-delivery cost. If free shipping was applied, it will not be valid due to the error on the customer's part, and the customer will be charged for all shipping costs.

Defective Merchandise

SwingSetParadise.com is committed to providing top quality merchandise and will work closely with our manufacturers to ensure product integrity. However, should you receive an item that is defective, please contact the appropriate manufacturer directly for all product warranties, defects and repair issues.

Tracking Shipments

All orders will receive a Shipment Notification email to notify customers that their order has shipped. This notification will come with details such as shipping method and tracking number. You can check the status of an order once you have received this e-mail. Simply click on the link included in the e-mail and you will be directed to the shipper's website where you can track the progress of your package.
